Here's a shot of what/who greeted us at Los Angeles Airport (LAX) since September 11th. Yes, they're smiling, but the rifles are scary.

I was detained when I went through the metal detector with a metal hairpiece (a hairagami!) in my hair. The security officer made me take my hair down, then x-rayed my shoes and patted me down for weapons, even after I didn't set off the alarm anymore. It was a little bit unnerving. It messed up my hair too - I hated that! I made sure NOT to wear the hairpiece again in the airport.

Off to London...
